IN THE EVENT OF A TIE!
In non-NCGA qualifying tournaments, the computer
automatically calculates the placement of teams in each flight
based on the standard tie-breaker formula.  Teams that are
tied are compared first by the total back nine score, then the
last six holes, then the last three holes. If still tied, starting at
the 18th hole, then going backwards hole by hole until a
winner is declared.
 In a NCGA qualifying tournament, a
three-hole playoff is used to determine the qualifier.
TOURNAMENT ENTRY FEES
When paying your tournament entry fees, the amount due is
dependent on how you elect to pay.  For example, for this
month's tournament, the amount due is:
  • Cash or check - $67
  • PayPal - $69 (includes a $2 PayPal processing fee)
PLEASE DO NOT GIVE US A CHECK FOR $69!
If you want to use a cart, you must pay for it in the pro
shop on the days of the tournament.

than Thursday before the upcoming tournament

TOURNAMENT SCORECARDS
When filling out your scorecard, please write as legibly as
possible and total your gross score for both the front and back
9 scores.  The total is used as a double check that it was
entered into the computer correctly.  You do not need to write
in the net scores.  The computer will figure them out.
NCGA 4 BALL CHAMPIONSHIP TO BE HELD IN MARCH
PVMC held its 1st NCGA Qualifier of the 2019 season.  A field of 112 golfers stepped to the tee for a chance to earn the trip to
the Monterey Peninsula for the NCGA Zone Championship

for earning the spot.

PVMC 2019 TOURNAMENT DATES
The 2019 tournament dates are available on the tournament page!  Unfortunately, one of our tournaments falls on Mother's
Day and was not able to be changed to avoid a conflict with Rancho Solano's tournament schedule.  
Please remember that
in order to be eligible for a qualifying spot from PVMC, you must have participated in at least 3 tournaments from
the 2018 and 2019 schedule prior to the qualifier.

NEW USGA 2019 RULE CHANGES
As many people know, 2019 brought about many rule changes.  Here is a link that highlights the rule changes.  It will give you
a description or a video highlighting the change.

The membership form for the 2019 season is available.  For new members (and renewing members after December 28, the
fee is $103.  As a reminder, in order to be eligible for a qualifying spot in an NCGA qualifier, you must participate in at least 3
PVMC tournaments prior to a qualifier to be eligible.  More information on eligibility for the NCGA Qualifiers can be found in the
Club Bylaws.  The membership application is available on the membership page.
PVMC HOLDS 1st QUALIFIER OF THE SEASON
March brings about the 2nd NCGA Qualifier of the 2019 PVMC season.  A few things to point out about this tournament:
  • PVMC sends 2 teams from the regular division and 2 teams from the senior division to the next round of qualifying
  • To qualify as a senior, you must reach age 55 on or before September 9, 2019
  • If you are fortunate enough to win both divisions, you will only be allowed to advance in one division
  • For the NCGA qualifier, there is 90% of course handicap with a maximum index of 18.4 applied
  • If there is more than 8 strokes difference in handicap between partners, each partner is lowered an additional 10%  
  • For the club tournament, there is no maximum index and 100% of course handicap applies (no stroke differential either)
  • For the qualifier only, there will be a 3 hole playoff in the event of a tie
